Valuation Reports for Fairground Equipment
& Temporary Structures

Independent valuation of rides, carousels, food trucks and tents – for insurance, financing, sale and business succession. Throughout Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium.

Why fairground equipment needs its own kind of valuation

Temporary structures ("Fliegende Bauten") are not series products with a list price. All relocatable structural installations – rides, carousels, tents, show and event structures or funfair attractions – are among the most demanding objects to value. Their value cannot be read from a table; it can only be determined with in-depth knowledge of the showman trade and its market.

As a firm of independent experts specialising in fairground equipment since 1996, we know the relevant manufacturers and typical price developments on the national and international showman market. It is precisely this knowledge that distinguishes a reliable report from a mere estimate.

This is what goes into the valuation of your object:

  • Manufacturer, type, year of construction
  • Technical condition & maintenance carried out
  • Conversions, extensions and modernisations
  • Inspection log book & execution approval

Rides & carousels

Carousels, Ferris wheels, roller coasters, bumper cars, flat and tower rides as well as children's carousels – including complex drive, hydraulic and safety technology.

Historic rides

Nostalgic and traditional attractions are rare and hard to compare – here, in-depth market knowledge counts far more than any standard table.

Food & sales trucks

Catering trailers, food trucks, concession trailers, beverage trailers as well as sales and confectionery stands with individual interiors and commercial equipment.

Showman living trailers

Showmen's caravans, living trailers and equipment trailers – often with individual conversions and a long service life.

Tents & circus tents

Marquees, circus tents and mobile canopies – from the classic event tent to extensive tent complexes with equipment and accessories.

Show & event structures

Stages, show trailers, event and promotional structures as well as other mobile special constructions for events.

Occasions for a valuation report in the showman trade

1
Correct sum insured

Without up-to-date proof of value, an underinsurance deduction looms in the event of a claim – a high financial risk, especially with expensive rides.

2
Financing & leasing

Banks and lessors usually require an independent valuation report as proof of collateral before lending against fairground equipment.

3
Purchase & sale

A neutral market value protects against over- and underpayment and gives both sides an objective basis for negotiation.

4
Business succession & inheritance

When handing over the family business, in cases of inheritance or division of assets, a report creates a fair, reliable basis.

Valuation reports for fairground equipment – good to know

?
How is the value of a ride determined?

Through a personal inspection, the analysis of comparable objects on the showman market and the assessment of condition, manufacturer, year of construction, operating hours and conversions – not through blanket tables.

?
Does the expert travel to the object?

Yes. We carry out valuations on site throughout Germany as well as in the Netherlands and Belgium – at short notice on request and scheduled around your travel route.

?
How long is a valuation report valid?

A report reflects the value at the time of the valuation. After major conversions, damage or repairs, and after a few years, an update is recommended so that the stated value remains reliable.

?
How are historic rides valued?

Historic rides are considered individually. Decisive factors include year of construction, manufacturer, state of preservation, originality and later conversions or technical modifications.

?
What does a valuation report for fairground equipment cost?

The fee depends on the type of object and the scope and effort of the valuation. After a brief description of your object, you will receive a transparent, non-binding offer from us – with no hidden costs.

?
Do insurers and banks accept the report?

Our reports are verifiably derived, fully documented and prepared by an independent expert. This makes them a reliable basis for insurers, banks and other decision-makers.

?
Which documents are needed for a valuation report?

The inspection log book and the execution approval are required. Additional documents such as invoices for conversions or modernisations and technical documentation are helpful. If not everything is available, the object can still be recorded and valued on site.
