Damage Reports for Fairground Equipment
& Temporary Structures

Independent damage documentation after storm, fire, transport or weather damage – as a reliable basis for insurance settlement. Throughout Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium.

After damage, fast and clean documentation counts

Whether a storm tears the tent apart, a fire damages a ride or something breaks in transport – in the event of damage, complete documentation determines the size of the settlement. With temporary structures in particular, insurance case handlers without specialist knowledge can hardly assess the damage realistically.

As a specialised firm of independent experts, we record the damage to your fairground asset neutrally, document its cause and extent, calculate the repair or restoration costs and determine any loss in value – verifiably and in a form that holds up with the insurer.

Your damage report contains:

  • Photo and condition documentation of the damage
  • Determination of the cause and extent of the damage
  • Calculation of the repair / restoration costs
  • Determination of a diminished market value
  • Assessment of residual and replacement value in the event of a total loss

Damage to a fairground ride

These are the damages we assess

From severe weather on the fairground to transport damage on the motorway – we document every kind of damage to carousels, Ferris wheels, rides, food trucks, tents and other temporary structures.

Storm & severe weather damage

Toppled or damaged tents, carousels, Ferris wheels, rides, sales stands and mobile installations after storms, gales or severe weather – a frequent and costly risk in the travelling showmen's trade.

Fire & smoke damage

Damage from fire, soot or extinguishing water to rides, trailers and technical equipment – including assessment of concealed consequential damage.

Transport damage

Damage during assembly and dismantling, while travelling or when moving from site to site – to superstructures, cladding and chassis.

Water & hail damage

Soaking, flooding or hail impact on tarpaulins, electrics and superstructures – often with considerable consequential damage that is not immediately visible.

Vandalism & theft

Wilful damage, break-ins or theft of components and technical equipment – documented for the insurer and the claims settlement.

Technical & operational damage

Damage to drive systems, hydraulics, controls or electrics that restricts operation – including the scope of repairs, cost estimate and possible downtime.

We come to the site, record the damage and document its cause and extent photographically and in writing.

3

4
Report & settlement

You receive the signed report as the basis for settlement by your insurer.

Damage reports for showmen – good to know

?
What should I do after damage occurs?

Secure the site, take initial photos and change as little as possible on the damaged object until the expert has recorded its condition. Report the damage promptly.

?
How quickly can you be on site?

In the event of damage we act at short notice and travel throughout Germany as well as to the Netherlands and Belgium – so that operations can resume as quickly as possible.

?
Can consequential damage be taken into account as well?

Yes. With rides, trailers, tents and technical installations in particular, consequential damage often only comes to light on close inspection. It is recorded in the report and described in a verifiable way.

?
What does a damage report cost?

Where a claim is subject to settlement, the expert's costs are usually covered by the insurer. The fee depends on the effort involved in the inspection.

?
Does an existing valuation report help?

Yes. A valuation report drawn up before the damage occurred can make claims settlement considerably easier, because the object's previous condition and value are documented in a verifiable way.

?
Do you work independently of the insurer?

Yes. We work independently and produce a neutral damage report with verifiable documentation of the damage, its cause and the repairs required.

?
How long does it take to prepare the report?

After the inspection we prepare the report promptly, so that settlement is not delayed unnecessarily. In urgent cases we will find a quick solution together.

?
Can the report be used with the insurer?

Yes. Our report documents the damage, its cause and the necessary measures in a verifiable way and serves as a solid basis vis-à-vis the insurer – if required, in a dispute as well.
